Art Talk October - Adobe: Create Now Dallas

I had the opportunity to attend the Adobe Create Now event in Dallas earlier this month. It was a great experience and I was able to reconnect with old friends and meet new creatives within the community. The event highlighted the latest Adobe tools, with a particular focus on the exciting new Generative AI Beta features designed to enhance our designs.

The focus was on Beta features and advancements in Photoshop and Illustrator and insightful tips on using Adobe Firefly and Generative AI. The event reassured me that AI is a valuable tool, not something to be feared. It seems especially helpful during the concept stage or when working with clients to develop initial ideas. Features like the mock-up generator and seamless vector image application in Illustrator are incredibly useful.

I was also fortunate to hear from some of my favorite creatives. Nick Longo conducted a cool demo, while Temi Coker offered five essential tips for creatives: 1. Just start, 2. Don't be afraid to pivot and explore, 3. Create the type of work you want to be hired for, 4. Embrace the ups and downs of a non-linear journey, and 5. Discover your "why." Sara Sun, a successful freelance designer, shared her stunning work and personal journey.

Did I mentioned it was open bar?! Seriously — if you hear about an Adobe event happening near you, check it out.
